The statue of Abbot Louis is a statue of the late Roman period probably representing a magistrate. This statue has been the protagonist of very recent pasquinades, the last one even in 1966.

At the foot of this statue, sheets containing satire in verse were hung in the night, aimed at making an anonymous mockery of the most important public figures of the time. They were the so-called "pasquinades", from which emerged the popular discontent towards power and the aversion to corruption and the arrogance of its representatives.
