As suggested by its name, The Mlesna Tea Castle is huge, housing the largest teashop in the world. As well as a wide array of aromatic teas. The Castle Museum displays interesting tea artifacts of yesteryear with educational photographs depicting the early years of the tea industry. Enjoyment and relaxation in the Castle Restaurant with its unique ambiance adds great value to the tea experience and featuring dishes using tea either as flavouring or a garnish. The specially designed Viewing Tower at the Mlesna Tea Castle offers an opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of the Devon Fall and St. Claire valley complete with the mist and lush green hills of this breathtakingly beautiful landscape.

Devon water fall is one of the most beautiful cascades of Sri Lanka, located at close to Talawakele town. Further, it is one of the six falls impacted with upper Kotmale hydro power project. But it has been unable to reduce the water capacity of the fall. This fall gets the name because of the pioneer British coffee planter, Mr. Devon whose cultivations and plantations are nearby the fall. This 97 m high cascade is above 1159 m from sea level.

St Clair’s is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and called the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. It is a strikingly beautiful waterfall, which is approximately 80 meters in height and 50 meters in width. This waterfall runs over a rock ridge, splitting into three cascades, and drops into a pool. The falls are located along the Kotmale River, running through an enchanting green valley. The waterfalls consist of two falls called “Maha Ella” and “Kuda Ella”. This majestic waterfall falls down between magnificent green hills in the midst of tea plantations in Sri Lanka’s Hill Country and it got the name after the Saint Clair Tea Estate which it runs through.

Nuwara Eliya – sight Scenes The town of Nuwara Eliya still retains much of its British colonial charm that has earned it the nickname Little England and it is one of the coldest regions of Sri Lanka with an annual average temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea. The mountain slopes and valleys area carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling water falls. Red or green roofed plantation bungalows, English country style homes and hotels with lovely flower gardens, Lake Gregory, a fine 18 hole golf course and a race course gives Nuwara Eliya a decidedly British character.
