Parque Nacional da Serra dos Orgaos
The Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos, or Serra dos Órgãos National Park, is a stunning protected area located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Spanning over 20,000 hectares, it is known for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and challenging mountain trails.
The park takes its name from the impressive rock formations that resemble giant organs, which can be observed in certain areas. These formations are a prominent feature of the park's rugged mountain range, which is part of the larger Serra do Mar mountain system.
Within the park, visitors can explore a variety of natural attractions, including deep valleys, towering peaks, crystal-clear rivers, and dense forests. The park's diverse ecosystems support a wide range of plant and animal species, many of which are endemic to the region.

Poco Verde
Our first stop is visiting the waterfalls in the lower sector of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park for a nice bath!
The Poço Verde(Green pool) with green water is a captivating natural feature that combines the beauty of cascading water with the striking hue of green. This type of pool is typically formed at the base of a waterfall, where the water collects and creates a serene and picturesque environment.
The green color of the water in such a pool is often a result of natural processes or environmental factors. It can be caused by the presence of minerals, algae, or vegetation in the water, giving it a unique and enchanting appearance.
