Dragon's Back Hike: A gently undulating trail along the “dragon’s spine” with panoramic views of the undulating coastlines, mountains, and down to Shek O village bordering the South China Sea. The trail is an interesting mix of dirt and some rocky sections, but the incline is not so tough and is perfect for photos at every turn. This is one of the world’s best hikes within minutes of the urban area with stunning coastal ridge views on Hong Kong Island. We finish with refreshments at a beachside cafe.
Come hike with me. I'll bring the stories, you bring the curiosity!

Dragon's Back
This is one of the world’s best urban hikes with stunning coastal ridge views on Hong Kong Island and rewarding with a beach finish. The views of the gently undulating trail along the “dragon’s spine” (hence the name), with panoramic vistas of the turquoise South China Sea, distant islands, Shek O village below, and craggy coastlines is a reward for every hiker. The beginner friendly route with moderate distance with the mixed of path dirt tracks, some rocky sections, and lush greenery, perfect for all ages. This hike is very photogenic in every turn, with many spots for beautiful photos. It's a perfect half-day escape from the city that feels surprisingly wild and adventurous. Pack water, wear decent shoes, and bring a swimsuit if you fancy a post-hike dip.
