Your guide will explain the stories behind this and the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, including how they were constructed and how they looked in ancient times, and take you out into the desert for photo opportunities. Next, you'll descend to admire the Sphinx, the giant half-human, half-lion monument that's an icon of Egypt. Finally, you'll explore an Ancient Egyptian temple, the Valley Temple, most likely built by Khafre, in the days when the River Nile flowed past Giza and this desert gorge was fertile valley.
