Itinerary
1
Jemaa el-Fnaa
At Jemaa El-Fnaa, I will share with you its fascinating history and its central role in the life of Marrakech. This vibrant square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. Together, we will explore the spice merchants, street performers, musicians, and snake charmers who bring the square to life. You’ll also find restaurants, fresh juice stalls, and colorful shops all around. Jemaa El-Fnaa is the beating heart of Marrakech — a place where the living history of the city unfolds before your eyes.
30 minutes
2
Bahia Palace
We will pass through Bab Agnaou, one of Marrakech’s most iconic monumental gates. Built in the 12th century under the Almohad dynasty, it once served as the main entrance to the royal quarter, home to El Badi Palace and the Saadian Tombs. You will admire its impressive architecture, with finely decorated stone arches and engraved floral motifs. Bab Agnaou stands as a testament to the city’s historical grandeur and offers a remarkable glimpse into the artistic refinement of the era.
1 hour and 15 minutes
3
Medina of Marrakesh
We will discover the Médina of Marrakech, the historic and living heart of the city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in the 11th century, the medina is a true maze of lively alleyways, colorful souks, hidden riads, and monuments rich in history.
As we continue the visit, you will immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of Marrakech, between traditional craftsmanship, local life, and cultural heritage passed down through the centuries.
4
Souk Semmarine
We will explore the vibrant Souks of Marrakech, a maze of lively markets filled with colors, scents, and traditional craftsmanship. Here, you will discover local artisans at work, from leather goods and textiles to spices, pottery, and handmade treasures, offering a true glimpse into the commercial and cultural soul of Marrakech.
5
Medersa Ben Youssef
We will visit the beautiful Medersa Ben Youssef, one of the largest Quranic schools in North Africa. Founded in the 14th century and rebuilt in the 16th century under the Saadian dynasty, it is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, famous for its intricate zellige tiles, carved cedar wood, and delicate stucco decoration.
Once home to hundreds of students studying the Quran, Islamic law, and religious sciences, the Medersa Ben Youssef remains today a remarkable symbol of Marrakech’s spiritual, intellectual, and artistic heritage.

6
Foundouk el Amri el al Mizane
We will make a stop at an ancient Foundouk, an emblematic place within the medina. In the past, foundouks hosted traveling merchants, their goods, and their animals, playing an essential role in the commercial life of Marrakech.
Built around a central courtyard, these buildings served as inns, storage spaces, and trading hubs. Today, some have been restored and transformed into craft workshops, preserving the commercial spirit of the Médina of Marrakech.
