Shichahai
We visited a hidden cultural treasure: the Huodezhenjun Temple. This little-known Taoist temple of the Ming dynasty quietly guards the faith and peace of ancient Beijing; its red walls and green tiles hide moving stories. As you cross the historic courtyard, a breathtaking view opens up: the shimmering waters of the Shichahai appear before your eyes. Strolling along the shore of the lake, observing the quiet life of the locals and listening to the gentle sway of the willow branches, this lake, which has nourished the city since the Yuan Dynasty, will reveal the tender and aquatic face of Beijing.

Yandaixie Street
The Hutong Yandaixiejie slender as a tobacco pipe, is full of picturesque shops; the origin of its name and the anecdotes of the Qing dynasty perfectly sum up the charm of life in ancient Beijing.

The tour culminates in the Plaza de la Torre de la Campana and the Drum. The majestic Bell Towers and Drum stand on the city's central axis, having served as the empire's "Beijing clock" for centuries.
