Itinerary
After introductions, we'll walk to the start of the valley by crossing the Rver Coe gorge.
There's a steep metal staircase down, a bridge over the river then a steep rocky ascent up the other side. A rope handrail is provided.
We then walk through up the forested valley following the burn / river - Allt Coire Gabhail.
The path is good for the majority of the route but it is rocky, muddy & steep in places. There's one large rock slab to ascend & descend and a river to cross via stepping stones.
The final approach to the Lost Valley is narrow and strewn with huge boulders. We emerge to the open expanse of the Hidden Valley surrounded by towering mountains.
