Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body which dates from the time of Chephren the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of Chefren This temple served two functions: First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for making the Mummification process of the king.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is in Fustat, the first Egyptian capital,The museum partially opened in 2017 and will display a collection of 50.000 artifacts, presenting Egyptian Civilization from prehistoric times to the present day. The permanent collection is divided into two separate regions, one chronological the other thematic. the chronological area will be the following archaic: Archaic, pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic, medieval, Islamic, modern, and contemporary. The thematic areas will be the following: Down of civilization, the Nile, writing, state and society, material culture, Beliefs and thinking and the gallery of royal mummies.
