Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete airport, your guide or driver will be waiting to pick you up. The transfer will take you to the hotel, where you can drop off your luggage and prepare to explore the city. Take advantage to cool off a bit and acclimate to Cusco’s altitude.
The tour begins by visiting the Qorikancha, or Temple of the Sun, one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire. The site was a key religious and cultural center, and today you can explore its impressive stone walls and learn about its history at the Convent of Santo Domingo that was built on it.

Sacsayhuaman
Continue the tour with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, an Inca fortress known for its huge stone walls, which perfectly suit the hill on which it sits. In addition to its historical significance, the site offers panoramic views of the city of Cusco that you won’t want to miss.

Q'enqo
Then we head to Qenqo, an archaeological site known for its complex of rock-sculpted tunnels and labyrinths. Here you can explore the ceremonial structures and learn about the use of this place in Inca rituals.

The next stop is Puka Pukara, a fortress that served as a checkpoint and watchpoint. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and appreciate the Inca military strategy.

Finally, visit Tambomachay, known as the Inca Bath. This archaeological site is famous for its fountains and water channels, which were used for ceremonial and ritual purposes. The hydraulic engineering of the Incas is particularly remarkable here.
