Perched high above the confluence of the Danube and Morava Rivers, Devín Castle is one of Slovakia’s most spectacular historical landmarks. For centuries, this strategic fortress guarded important trade routes and witnessed the rise and fall of empires – from the Great Moravian Empire to the Napoleonic wars.
From the castle ruins, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views where two rivers meet and form the natural border between Slovakia and Austria.
