The experience begins at La Casita de Coyoacán at 3:00 PM. Upon arrival you will enjoy a traditional Day of the Dead atmosphere while receiving light, themed makeup inspired by Catrinas. During this activity, you will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive session around a traditional Mexican altar, where you will learn the meaning of elements such as cempasúchitl, copal incense, water, salt, pan de muerto (bread of the dead), and papel picado (cut paper decorations).

Centro Coyoacan
We will depart for the historic center of Coyoacán. During the tour, a local guide will share information about the pre-Hispanic origins of the Day of the Dead, the influence of Catholic traditions, and the unique relationship that exists in Mexico with death.

Museo Nacional de las Culturas Populares
Once in Coyoacán, we'll take a walking tour of some of its main points of interest related to this celebration. We'll make a stop at the National Museum of Popular Cultures, known for its Day of the Dead exhibits and decorations.

Parroquia San Juan Bautista
We will continue towards the Parish of San Juan Bautista and the emblematic Fountain of the Coyotes, where we will learn about the history and origin of this traditional neighborhood of Mexico City.

Fontaine des Coyotes
During the tour, we'll visit the iconic Coyote Fountain, one of Coyoacán's most representative symbols, where we'll learn about the history and significance of this traditional neighborhood. We'll also enjoy a tasting of a delicious filled churro of your choice in a local churro shop—the perfect complement to our stroll through Coyoacán's charming streets.

Marché de Coyoacan
We will also visit the Coyoacán Market, where we can observe typical seasonal products such as pan de muerto, sugar skulls, handicrafts, papel picado and other elements used in Mexican offerings.

Panteón Xoco
Upon arrival at the Xoco Pantheon, the guide will give a brief introduction to the cultural significance of this celebration and the rules of etiquette to be observed during the visit. Afterward, participants will have approximately 1 hour of free time to explore the cemetery, admire the decorated tombs, view the offerings, and experience one of the most authentic expressions of the Day of the Dead in Mexico City.
