Itinerary

Qorikancha
In the heart of the historic center is the so-called Temple of the Sun, the main worship center of Inca culture. Here we will have time to explore the site, as well as the current Catholic church built on its former settlements.

Sacsayhuaman
Following the itinerary, the fortress of Sacsayhuamán is our next stop. This impressive megalithic structure has withstood centuries of earthquakes and, but for the damage caused during the colonization process, the site could have been even more extraordinary than it already is.

Q'enqo
A few meters from Sacsayhuamán is another important ceremonial center for the Incas. The archaeological site of Qenqo was a place dedicated to rituals where, according to historians, ceremonies and sacrifices were performed.

Puka Pukara
Moving further into the mountains, you will find an archaeological site with the appearance of a fortress. Puca Pucara is believed to have functioned as a military and administrative centre.

Tambomachay
Tambomachay is one of the perfect examples of Inca hydraulic engineering. It is composed of irrigation channels and three water fountains that continue to provide water until the current date.
