A 60-minute Chanoyu (tea ceremony) experience led by an instructor associated with the Urasenke school of tea. The experience begins by putting on a Haori jacket and feeling the atmosphere of the tea ceremony through explanations of the tea garden and tea room. Once inside the 4.5-tatami mat tea room, you will observe the instructor's tea-making ceremony (Otemae) while enjoying traditional sweets. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to whisk and enjoy your own Matcha. The tea room features authentic utensils used in formal tea ceremonies, and the instructor will explain the deep meaning behind each one.

This is a hidden gem of a tea room tucked away in the residential area of Uzumasa, Kyoto. In front of the tea room lies a traditional tea garden (Chaniwa), where you can feel the authentic world of Chanoyu. The experience begins with you putting on a Haori jacket, followed by an explanation of the tea garden. As you pass through the garden and enter the 4.5-tatami mat tea room, you will feel as if you have stepped into another world. In the profound silence, you can hear the sound of the water boiling in the kettle. After watching the host's tea-making ceremony (Otemae), you will have the opportunity to whisk your own Matcha.
