Itinerary
1
Bagni Regina Giovanna
From the sea, you will admire the Bagni della Regina Giovanna (Baths of Queen Giovanna), a natural swimming pool nestled among the rocks and surrounded by the ruins of an ancient Roman villa. It's a captivating place where history and nature meet on a cliff overlooking the sea.
Here are some relevant details about the Bagni della Regina Giovanna:
Natural Pool Formation: The natural pool was formed by the erosion of the coastline, creating a sheltered inlet with a relatively calm and clear body of water. A natural archway connects this pool to the open sea, allowing for the inflow and outflow of tides.

2
Punta Campanella
The peninsula's most extreme point, between legend and the open sea. It marks the border between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno." - Punta Campanella
Punta Campanella, meaning "Bell Point," is located at the very tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula in Italy. This dramatic promontory holds significant historical and mythological importance:
Myth and Legend: Ancient Greeks believed this area was inhabited by Sirens, mythical creatures who lured sailors to their deaths with their enchanting songs. Legend has it that Ulysses (Odysseus) passed by here and, on the advice of Circe, had his men plug their ears with wax while he had himself tied to the mast so he could hear their song without succumbing to its allure. It is also said that Ulysses built a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena here as a sign of gratitude for her protection.
3
Grotta Verde
The Grotta Verde (Green Grotto) is located on the southwest side of Capri, near Punta Carena.
It takes its name from the emerald reflections that the water takes on inside the cave, thanks to the sunlight filtering through an underwater opening. This creates a mesmerizing green glow that illuminates the interior of the grotto.
It is accessible by boat and is a perfect spot for swimming in a truly evocative setting.
Here are some additional details about the Grotta Verde:
How the Light Effect Works: The intense emerald color is a result of sunlight entering the cave through a submerged entrance, usually located below and slightly to the side of the main opening. As the sunlight passes through the water and reflects off the sandy or light-colored seabed, the blue light is absorbed, while the green light is reflected and scattered throughout the grotto, creating its characteristic hue.

White Grotta
The Grotta Bianca (White Grotto) is famous for its pristine white limestone walls and the stalactites that hang from its vault.
The water inside is crystal clear and reflects the light tones of the rock, creating a luminous and surreal atmosphere.
Here are some additional details about the Grotta Bianca:
Formation and Features: The brilliant white color of the grotto is due to the high calcium carbonate content of the limestone rocks. Over millennia, rainwater seeping through the rock has dissolved calcium carbonate, which then redeposits as it drips from the ceiling, forming the characteristic stalactites (hanging from the ceiling) and stalagmites (rising from the floor – though these might be less prominent or submerged in this sea cave). These formations can take on fascinating and intricate shapes.

I Faraglioni
The Faraglioni are three imposing rock formations that rise from the sea, an iconic symbol of Capri.
Stella (connected to the mainland): Also known as Faraglione di Terra or Saetta, it stands at 109 meters high and is the only one still attached to the island by a small isthmus.
Mezzo (with the famous natural arch): Also called Faraglione di Mezzo or Stella (another name). It is 81 meters high and characterized by a 60-meter-long natural arch, large enough for small boats to pass through. This arch is sometimes referred to as the "Arch of Love".
Scopolo (the furthest, habitat of the blue lizard): Also known as Faraglione di Fuori, it is 106 meters high and located furthest from the coast. It is the unique habitat of the Podarcis siculus coeruleus, a rare blue lizard that is believed to have developed its coloration to camouflage against the sea and sky.
