Itinerary
Meet your guide at Coniston, get kitted out in a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid, and take a full safety briefing before heading into Church Beck - one of the finest ghylls in England, sitting right below the Old Man of Coniston.
From there you work your way up and through the gorge. You will climb waterfalls, wade and swim through deep pools, scramble over boulders and slide natural rock chutes worn smooth by the water. Where the canyon drops away, you abseil. Your guide reads the group and picks the line to suit you - every jump, slide and obstacle is entirely optional, and there is always an easier way round.
