The serpentine pathway to the temple is fortified by concrete walls on the cliffside. It takes about an hour to get from one end to another, as there are several fenced points along the way to stop. Kecak Dance is a spectacular traditional dance with a group of people playing a fire game. It is a very exciting and unique dance due to the sound of gamelan, who is not using the normal gamelan but using their mouth. The dancers make the compact choir with the exquisite dance movement that is one of these dance features. The Kecak dance performance presents the dance as an introduction to the story, a fragment from the Ramayana, the Hindu epic that finds its expression in many forms.
