Visit the historic Agia Triada Tsagkarolon Monastery, one of the most important monasteries of Akrotiri, dating from the Venetian period. Explore its impressive architecture, peaceful courtyard and church, and discover its ecclesiastical museum with icons and religious artifacts. The monastery also produces its own olive oil and wine, available at the monastery shop.

Stavros is a scenic seaside village on the Akrotiri Peninsula, famous as a filming location for “Zorba the Greek”. Its sheltered main beach has soft sand, shallow waters and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The beach is organized, with cafés and facilities nearby. During the lifeguarded season, a manual beach wheelchair may be available with assistance from the lifeguard service, subject to local availability.

Visit the historic Venizelos Graves, set on a peaceful hill overlooking Chania. The site is the resting place of Eleftherios Venizelos, one of Greece’s most important political figures, and his son Sofoklis. Enjoy panoramic views over Chania and the Cretan Sea, and see the nearby chapel of Prophet Elias and the memorial to Spyros Kagiales, hero of the 1897 Cretan uprising.
