Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park, ideally located in northern Tanzania, offers a variety of activities due to its diverse geography. Visitors can explore Mount Meru, Momella Lakes, and savanna plains, and it is one of the few places where walking safaris are allowed. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you'll learn about the area's wildlife and history. A visit to the Ngurdoto Museum can provide insights into human-wildlife conflict.
A short 1.5-hour bush walk followed by a Land Cruiser safari offers amazing wildlife encounters. You'll walk through savanna plains, spotting giraffes, bushbuck antelopes, buffalo, and warthogs at close range. After the walk, a drive to Momella Lakes reveals large colonies of flamingos, along with hornbills, ibises, pelicans, and vultures. The serene views make it an ideal lunch spot!
