Drive to Jhinu Danda suspension bridge | Trek to Chhomrong

Chhomrong
Chhomrong at 2,150 m is the closest view point of Annapurna South (7219m), Huinchuli (6,441 m) and Mt fishtail. On the day, we will drive for about 3 hours near to Jhinu Danda suspension bridge and then trek about 3 to 4 hours to Chhomrong village. The drive is scenic as we ascend to the mountain saddle view point of Naudanda and then cruise along the lush mountain side with snow peaks of Annapurna looming at a distance. The road then descend down to Modi River valley. We enter the Annapurna conservation area at Nayapul. The dirt road from here follows the Modi River upstream for about one hour till the trail head near the Jhinu danda suspension bridge. The trek of the day starts with crossing of long and high suspension bridge. Then the trail climbs steeply to Chhomrong village via Jhinu danda. Chhomrong is the large Gurung village with magnificent view of Annapurna south Huinchuli and Fishtail mountains.

Jhinu Danda
Jhinu Danda Suspension bridge is one of the longest suspension bridge with a length of 285 m. The bridge is hanging at the height of 135 m above the Kimrong River.
Jhinu Danda village is also provides access to the natural hot spring down on the bank of Modi River.
