You will be picked up by your driver in his air-conditioned vehicle in Marrakech at about 8:00 am., to begin the drive through the picturesque Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi 'n Tichka pass. Along the way you'll stop for breakfast and for photographs. You'll visit the world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco's most famous ksar ( ksar = old village of kasbahs). Lunch will be in Ouarzazate or Agdez.
Continuing on, you will pass through the scenic Draa Valley and its picturesque palm groves and kasbahs. You'll arrive in the village of Tamegroute, where you will mount your camels that will take you into the sand dunes. You'll arrive at camp after a ride of about one hour, in time to enjoy the unforgettable Sahara sunset. Your evening will be spent drinking tea with the nomads, having dinner, and then enjoying traditional Berber music around the fire. You'll spend the night in a comfortable tent.
