Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal palace of the Malla kings and later the Shah dynasty, dates back to the 12th century. This sacred Buddhist site features a gleaming white dome, gilded spire, and all-seeing eyes of Buddha. Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, dates back to 400 A.D., making it one of the oldest and most sacred Hindu temples in the world.
