This trail offers an insight into what gives Penang its charm.
Unlike the other trails we offer, the Heritage Trail covers the different scenes in this former British colony while walking through various cultures, settlements, and everything in between, each with its own distinctive identity and yet harmoniously assimilated within a tight congested George Town.

Itinerary
1
Chew Jetty
Meet your tour guide at the entrance of the jetty
The Chew Jetty will be the first place of visit. One of the seven existing jetties today, they are the reminiscent of Penang's hey days of the spice trade and the country's booming tin mining industry
A unique settlement that is on stilts above the sea and guests will be walking on the jetty that was built by settlers' ancestors one and half centuries ago
30 minutes
2
Armenian Street
Just a crossover, walk pass through one of Penang's most celebrated street art. Believed to be the very spot that ignited Penang's art scene at a grand scale
Once a street occupied by Armenian immigrants, hence the street name, this busy street is a concoction of wall art with local cafes, Chinese clan temples and local souvenirs
3
Khoo Kongsi
Probably the most prominent Chinese clan on the island. As all other Chinese clans in Georgetown, the Khoo Clan was perceived as a secret society during the British administration
The Khoo Clan House boasts the finest Southern Chinese architecture outside of China. It is today one of Penang's icon promoting the state's tourism sector

Pinang Peranakan Mansion
From Khoo Kongsi Clan House, guests will continue walking, passing by the "Street of Harmony", which houses 4 of the earliest places of worship within an 800-meter stretch...a mosque, a Hindu temple, a Chinese temple, and an Anglican church.
What makes them fascinating is that each of them marks the settlement of a particular race
A stop over at Little India to rest the weary feet and reward oneself with one of Malaysia's national breakfasts, Roti Canai with a hot Teh Tarik (milk tea). You may have your tea either with masala spices, ginger, or just plain. Just recently Roti Canai was voted by Taste Atlas as the No.1 bread in the world!
Continue the walk through Little India to reach the tour's last stop, the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, which today is a museum in dedication to a very distinctive community called the Baba & Nyonya
However, the mansion itself has its own captivating story, that we shall keep a surprise.
