Taroudant
Visit Taroudant before you continue your drive through the Anti Atlas to Agdz. On the journey you’ll drive through the fertile Souss Valley, passing banana and citrus fruit plantations.
Enjoy a local brunch of freshly squeezed orange juice, mint tea, and Moroccan pastries. Admire the 11th century ramparts and the five monumental gates of Taroudant. Explore the busy square of Place Assarag in the heart of the city.
Enjoy a guided tour of the souks where traditional crafts are on display featuring silver jewelry, leather, engraved limestone, saffron, spices, and Argan oil. You’ll have free time to wander around and explore the area on your own, plus there's time to enjoy a refreshing mint tea before leaving Taroudant. To be sure, this tour is a great introduction to Morocco’s traditional past.

Drive to Taliouine through the Sous valley farms and Anti/Hight Atlas Mountains with a stop to admire Argain trees and the Goats. Then continue through the local berber villages. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant in Taliouine which is famous for its production of saffron and is one of the main exporters of this spice worldwide.

Stop in Tazenakht for a coffee before you continue to Draa valley in Agdz where you will spend the night.Taznakht is a town in Ouarzazate Province, Drâa-Tafilalet region, southern Morocco, on the road from Ouarzazate to Agadir.

Dominated by the Kissane Jbel, recognizable with its tajine dish shape, Agdz opens to the Drâa valley, 69 Km south of Ouarzazate.
Located on the old caravan road connecting Marrakesh and Timbuktu, Agdz, which means “resting place“, is a well deserved name. It is now articulated around the main square with its small souk (market).
