Even today, Tbilisi’s location ensures it is an important transit route for energy and trade projects. The city’s history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Soviet, and modern structures.
We will be visiting the most iconic sights of the city and delve deeper into its culture and history. We will also discuss modern life and little bit of political situation.

Anchiskhati Basilica is the oldest church standing in Tbilisi. Originally built in the 6th century, it remains the oldest cultural, religious and historical relic in the old town.

The Peace bridge was opened in 2010. Architecturally very different from the area it caused ambivalent opinions amongst the society. However nowadays it is one of the most popular sights of the city.

Metekhi Cathedral
The yard of the Metekhi Cathedral is the best for old town views. Also in the yard we have a statue of the legendary king of Georgia, Vakhtang Gorgasali - the founder of the city.
The tour is 3 hours to visit the sights and 1 hour remaining is for walking from starting and ending point which makes the tour a total of 4 hours

The sulfur bath district (Abanotubani), is located in a legendary place, where the legend of the city starts.

The Great Synagogue of Tbilisi
Tbilisi was always proud of being a multicultural city. Before 1991, 50,000 Jews used to live in the city. Nowadays the community is much smaller, but the friendship of Georgian and Israeli people remains very strong.

The Monument of "Tamada" (Toastmaster). The original version of the monument was found near Vani town (West Georgia) in the 7th century BC.

Sioni Cathedral Church
Once the main cathedral of the city - Sioni, remains to be another pearl of the old city. Seeing a lot of invasions and destructions, it still stands in the heart of the old town, preserving the most important religious relic for Georgians - St. Nino Cross.
