Itinerary
A BUGGY TOUR WITH STUNNING MOUNTAIN VIEWS You start driving your buggy on a lonely trail in the backlands of Reykjavik. Following the trail, you will reach Hengill mountain range and Hellisheiðarvirkjun, the power plant for Reykjavik. Your guide will lead you to an area that looks like the moon. The first stop will be at the geothermal area next to the geothermal power plant. The area was a film location for the movie “The secret life of Walter Mitty”. After your stop, you head back closer to Reykjavik. You are taking a gravel road into the stunning Blue Mountains. The next stop is Vífilsfell mountain, named after a slave of Ingólfur Arnarson, the first permanent settler in Iceland.
