Please bring your ceramics or porcelain that you would like to repair. If you don’t, please let us know. (Only two items per person due to storage space limitations.)
We will glue the broken pieces with lacquer. It takes about a week for it to harden as we use natural lacquer. If you would like to continue the process, please make a reservation after one week. Overseas travelers can send vessels in the process of being worked on by EMS....

Traditional techniques of lacquering (Makie) allow you to experience KINTSUGI which repairs broken objects.
The process involves applying and drying the lacquer about four times, depending on the condition of the cracks and chips. It takes about a month to be finished. We hope you can feel and accept the Japanese spirit of taking time to repair things slowly, further nurturing them with the power of nature. It's a way of valuing and cherishing objects.
