Camel right, night in desert camp

Draa Valley
Leaving Marrakech at 7.00 AM we travel towards Ouarzazat, driving some 200 km through the Atlas Mountains where you will see beautiful landscapes and many authentic Berber villages.
Our first big stop will be in ‘Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah’ a 16th century fortified village and a UNESCO world heritage site. Many big movies have been shot here, (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, The Mummy, Prince of Persia…Game of Thrones). We visit the fortress before traveling on to Ouarzazat, the capital city of cinema in Africa, where we stop for lunch. After lunch we drive towards Agdz and Zagora through Draa Valley (the oasis of palm trees). At Zagora you leave the van to ride a camel to the nomad camp just as the sun sets. The camel ride is approximately an hour.
We arrive at the camp and have mint tea the welcoming drink with the nomads after which dinner is served. The rest of the evening is spent around the campfire with the nomads making music under a starry sky. We sleep in nomad tents.

High Atlas Mountains
We wake you up in plenty of time to see the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. We breakfast at the camp before returning by camel to the van. On the way back to Marrakech we will stop to visit the Draa Valley, (the oasis of palm trees) and later we have lunch in the Atlas Mountains. We arrive back in Marrakech for around 18.00.
