The Selous Game Reserve is a protected area in southern Tanzania. It covers a total area of 50,000 km² and has additional buffer zones. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and undisturbed nature.
Large numbers of elephants, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, giraffes, hippopotamuses and crocodiles live in this immense sanctuary, which measures 50,000 km2 and is relatively undisturbed by human impact. Pick Up from hotel in Zanzibar, transfer to Zanzibar ferry -
take the first ferry from Zanzibar depart 07:00 am and pick up on arrival at the DAR ferry, and drive to the Selous (4 hrs). You will take part in an afternoon game drive in Selous.
