2-Day Muong Hoa Valley Private Hiking Tour
Lào Cai
About
In the Hmong dialect, we are used to say that “There is no mountain higher than knees of Hmong people“. Hmong people use to live high in the mountains. Nothing can scare them. Not even an ascent with a declination of 70° with their honeycomb sandals, the traditional slippers. This trek is a challenge for you to follow them, to see if you are to able to walk like a Hmong. At the same time, on our off the beaten track trek, you will be rewarded by the most scenic views in the Sapa valley, also called the Muong Hoa valley and cross the main villages to learn about their culture and customs.

Sapa
Our guide will meet you at the meeting point, which is up to you, in Sapa town. We will start the trek from here.

Y Linh Ho
Y Linh Ho Village is the home to many small population ethnic groups scattered on the mountain slopes, and 2 of the most crowded minorities here are the Black H’Mong and the Dao individuals. Nowadays, the village is divided into 2 communes: Y Linh Ho 1 and Y Linh Ho 2. In each commune, there are about 100 households of Mong and Dao people currently residing.
Coming to Y Linh Ho Village, visitors will surely be taken aback by the amazing, incredible views of the terraced fields and corn fields. As a main source of living, the fields here are taken care of very well by the local people. Therefore, the padding fields are always really luxuriant, especially in the harvest season. During the harvest period, the village always welcomes loads of visitors, who come to admire the beauty of nature, and to capture unique photos of the ripe crops.

Lao Chai
Lao Chai Village is situated about 7 km to the southeast of Sapa town’s center. It lies peacefully in a deep valley named Muong Hoa while embraced by marvelous ranges of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. It is adjacent to Ta Van Village which is also a featured tourist attraction of Sapa.
Feeling tired of the city’s hustle and bustle, it’s time for you to rejuvenate yourself by savoring the tranquility of the countryside. In Lao Chai Village, you are prone to stay in harmony with nature and put all trouble and sorrows to one side.
In particular, you can wander around the paddy fields to take several photographs, immerse yourself in the serenades of morning birds and hear the murmuring sound of streams and waterfalls. That’s really a yomost feeling!

Ta Van Village
Coming to Ta Van, visitors not only see themselves in the picturesque scenery of nature with the murmuring sound of streams and the singing of wild birds calling you to find love but also enjoy the peaceful appearance of the village. The village leans back on the Hoang Lien Son Mountain and Muong Hoa Stream is on the front side. The houses of the local face the Northeast direction. According to the feng-shui concept of the Giay, it is not good to build a house facing the mountain and downwards the stream flow. For hundreds of years, the Giay people still kept their typical culture in the customs, religion and festival.
We will spend the end of the day at my Hmong sister house. And we will have delicious traditional meal together here.
