Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty – and the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. The name Amboseli comes from the Maasai place name, Empusel, meaning open plain. The park lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. The Park covers 392 square km, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 square km Amboseli ecosystem.
Visit the observation hill and have a panoramic view of the park, appreciate the abundance of bird life and animals in the swamp below. As the sun sets and the snow peak of Kilimanjaro reflect the rays of the dying sun
