Moved by a passion of food and history we decided to combine both and make our guests even more happy! This tour takes us around Angra do Heroísmo, the first World Heritage Town in Portugal and also the already capital of Portugal for two different times. It's not just sightseeing and learning, it's also understanding why food is a big part of our day to day life and how it affects us. First, we will start by having an amazing breakfast with some of our incredible pastry, joined by some good coffee. We will also try our famous Portuguese Cherry Liqueur and understand why it's such a beloved beverage by all of us. Finally we'll have our famous Bifana! The Azorean Pork sandwich on a beautiful bread with garlic butter.

Dare to try out the best we have for an afternoon. First, we go to heaven, driving by car to Serra da Ribeirinha. An amazing view of the city, the Monte Brasil volcano, and Vila de São Mateus. On most days, you may even be surprised to see the island of São Jorge and the island of Pico with its imposing mountain. A few steps and you have a view of Ilhéu das Cabras islet , Fradinhos islet, and the entire south coast, lots of cows, and green fields with typical dry-stone walls. Descended and began the path to the depths of the earth on this visit to Algar do Carvão. An ancient dormant volcano, in this Algar visitors can descend to a depth of around 330 feet (100 meters). A few more minutes on the road and we visit the fumaroles. Now it's time to catch your breath and head to a winery to taste the famous volcanic wine and discover how these unique people were able to find an ingenious way to transform stone into wine. The final will be at the Biscoitos Natural Pools. 37 Miles (60 Km).
This tour is meant to show you what our Island Barbecue is all about! We will start by going to the local market and get everything needed for our lunch, which provides us the chance of getting your favorite foods and drinks! The local market gives us the opportunity to choose from a variety of meats, fishes and vegetables that we can bring to our barbecue. After we are all set and done with both food and drinks, we will choose the best outdoor location, according to both the weather and the day (holidays and weekends are very busy), and we'll set camp and start cooking! Everything on this activity is included in terms of equipment and both the foods and drinks are also included in the price, as long as approved by our tour guide, which will also be cooking for you! Transportation is also included from your hotel and back to it.
