Winter riding at Soldier Hollow Stables is a rare experience—we are one of the few horseback operations that stays open through the winter season, allowing guests to explore Utah’s landscape from the saddle. Guests arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled ride to check in and meet the friendly guides. After a brief orientation and introduction to their horse, riders receive simple instruction to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the saddle. Once mounted, guests head out on a one-hour guided winter trail ride featuring beautiful views along Deer Creek Reservoir and sweeping overlooks of the Heber Valley. It’s a peaceful, scenic experience perfect for riders of all levels to enjoy Utah’s winter landscape on horseback.
