A delightful outing awaits as you paddle the scenic Nore River from Kilkenny to Bennetsbridge. This 10km journey is perfect for families and friends, offering a blend of fun and relaxation. Begin your day at the Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club with a coffee, before hitting the water at 11:15 AM. Enjoy a leisurely paddle, including a lunch break where you can savor your own snacks while enjoying tea or filter coffee prepared with a Kelly Kettle. The trip concludes around 4 PM, allowing ample time to unwind at a nearby coffee shop.

You will have to drive or get public transport from Bennetsbridge back to Kilkenny. We can book a taxi for you if you do not have a car and there may be enough seats in the cars at the finish

Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club
Location, on canal walk, southern side of the river under Kilkeny Castle, 1000 metres downstream of the Johns Bridge, if you are walking.
There is parking at the meet location.
The set up process means that we drive cars to the finish point and then return with one vehicle to the start point.

We shuttle everyone's clothes to the finish point so after the paddle, its a quick change.
You can have a coffee at Mosse Pottery or Gifted cafe beside the river.
If there are insufficient cars at the finish we may have to call a taxi for some clients. That cost is not included in the tour cost.

Nicholas Mosse Pottery
We will pass old watermills and paddle over small weirs/ dams and finish near Mosses Mill Bennetsbridge.
This will suit families or groups of friends and you can use double kayaks or open canoes.
