''Saturday Hidden Kathamndu Walk and Food Day Tour'' is different from typical tourist experiences — just like our Old Kathmandu and Pashupati Aarati tours. This special walk takes you to Handigaun, an ancient settlement believed by historians to be the royal center of old Kathmandu, where historical artifacts dating back to the 5th century have been discovered.
Every Saturday afternoon, the local streets become peaceful and vehicle-free. In this calm atmosphere, local families bring their traditional kitchens outside and warmly welcome visitors with authentic lively made Newari dishes.

There are short drives in between, besides walking and depending on group size we provide a suitable vehicle.
At the end of the tour have coffee and have question-answer session with the guide!
If lunch is taken at the end that will be extra.

Guests will be picked up from the hotel or the pick up points mentioned by them during the booking process. At the meeting point, our guide will have the name of the lead traveler holding so will be easy to meet.

Everey saturday afternoon the street is made vehicle free for food festival and cultural event. At this site and nearby visitors will see old temple of Hindus, historical artifacts, Buddhist stupas and live cooking and food selling stalls.
