The tour starts in the port of Carti. Contact our office for exact driving directions and instructions. Plan to arrive no later than 8:30am. Only 4x4 vehicles are allowed entry into San Blas territory. All other cars and SUVs will not be allowed to enter the territory and you will lose your tour.

San Blas Islands
If you select the optional transport, you’ll be picked up early between 5:00AM and 5:45AM from your Panama City hotel in a 4x4 vehicle (max 6 guests per car). After a scenic drive through the jungle, you’ll transfer to a boat that takes you across turquoise waters to Isla Aroma. While the check-in process in the port of San Blas may feel busy and a little unstructured, the local Guna community has a well-established system, and all guests are taken care of.
During the boat transfer, the boat may make short stops at different islands to pick up or drop off other travelers.
Spend the day swimming, playing volleyball, exploring the island, or simply relaxing on the beach. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and dinner, and overnight in a shared rustic cabin with a sand floor for a true island experience.
You will arrive to Isla Aroma by around 9:30am.
