Gastronomy delight in Volendam, as it has a large number of restaurants, and fish stands. It is the most famous fishing village in the whole region. Due to its location on the water, fish is one of Volendam’s flagship products so here we will taste some of its typical delicious fish dishes such as kibbeling, herring/haring, smoked fish paling, salmon, oysters. Anyway, we can treat our palate, all this accompanied with a good wine or champagne. To finish the gourmand touch a lush dessert of pofertjes or Stroop Wafels.
