Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum / S-21. Visit the former Security Prison 21, one of the most important historical sites in Phnom Penh. Choeung Ek Genocidal Center / Killing Fields. Travel to Choeung Ek, located outside central Phnom Penh and now preserved as a memorial site. Independence Monument & Norodom Sihanouk Memorial. Visit two important national landmarks located close to one another in central Phnom Penh. Nearby, the Norodom Sihanouk Memorial honours the former king and his role in the country’s modern history. The surrounding park provides a peaceful final stop for reflection.
