One of the highlights of the evening is a relaxing visit to the famous thermal pools of Poça da Dona Beija.
Hidden in lush gardens in the heart of Furnas Valley, these naturally heated geothermal pools offer one of the most unique bathing experiences in the Azores. At night, the atmosphere becomes even more special — soft lights reflect on the warm mineral-rich water while steam rises gently into the cool island air.
The volcanic water, naturally heated underground to about 39°C (102°F), is rich in iron and minerals and known for its relaxing properties. Surrounded by tropical plants and volcanic stone pools, visitors can unwind in a calm and intimate setting.
Bathing time is approximately an hour and a half, allowing you to fully enjoy this peaceful and atmospheric thermal experience.
