Originally founded in 1070 during the reign of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, the temple was dedicated to Confucius, sages, and scholars. It later became the Imperial Academy, nurturing many of Vietnam’s greatest minds. Today, the Temple of Literature stands as a symbol of the country’s rich educational tradition and respect for learning.
