Japan has a long-standing tradition of appreciating the beauty of shadows and subtle light. This is a special evening session where we deliberately illuminate a room with only a single, traditional andon lantern to fully enjoy the beauty of the soft, flickering light.
It is in this darkness that you can truly appreciate the glow of the red charcoal embers, as well as the delicate reflections of light on the tea utensils, flowers, and the wooden architecture of the room.
In addition to the hands-on exhibitions of tea ceremony and ikebana—just like in our daytime sessions—you will experience the quiet, profound atmosphere that only this historic, city-designated important machiya townhouse...

Located about 10 minutes from Fushimi Inari Station, this private experience focuses on the quiet preparation side of a traditional tea gathering.
