Upon arriving at Mundo Maya Airport, our team will be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name to give you a warm welcome and accompany you from the first moment. Since it is a group service, you will have time to have a relaxed breakfast before starting the adventure. The departure to Tikal will be at 8:00 a.m., starting our tour from Flores towards the heart of the Mayan jungle.

Meeting 7: 30 a.m. at the letters "YO AMO PETÉN", on Flores Island. From there we will travel to the jungle to discover Tikal, one of the great cities of the ancient Mayan civilization. It is important to wait right at the signal, we have your name to identify you.

During the tour to Tikal, we will pass by the eastern part of Lake Petén Itzá, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of this impressive lake from the vehicle. Without needing to get off, you can admire the landscape as we continue our journey to the jungle and the ancient Mayan city of Tikal.

Upon arriving at the Tikal Visitor Center, you will have the opportunity to appreciate a model that shows the impressive extent of this ancient Mayan city and will allow you to better understand the location of its main temples and plazas. After entering the park, we will begin our adventure through the jungle trails. Accompanied by our local guide, we will walk through nature while discovering the flora, fauna, and history that made Tikal one of the most important centers of the Maya world. Little by little, the jungle will give way to enormous structures and ancient plazas, until reaching the majestic Grand Plaza, the heart of Tikal and one of the most impressive scenes in the entire city.

Upon arriving at the Grand Plaza, you will discover the monumental heart of Tikal. Before you rise Temple I, known as the Great Jaguar, and Temple II or Temple of the Masks, creating one of the most impressive landscapes in the entire ancient city. Surrounded by the acropolises and other ceremonial structures, our guide will help you understand how this space was the scene of important political, religious, and social events of the Mayan civilization. You will have time to admire the architecture, take photographs, and feel the impressive atmosphere of a place where the greatness of an ancient city still lives among the jungle.

Temple III, known as the Temple of the Great Priest, is one of the most impressive structures in Tikal. Rising above the jungle, this temple stands out for its imposing architecture and its history linked to the last years of splendor of the ancient city. During our visit, you will learn about some of the details that make this structure special and you will be able to appreciate how nature has embraced the Mayan constructions again. A perfect place to imagine the greatness of Tikal when its plazas and temples were the center of one of Mesoamerica's most powerful civilizations.

We will climb to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Tikal to enjoy a view that is hardly forgotten. From Temple IV, the jungle extends to the horizon, and among the infinite green, the silhouettes of the ancient temples appear. It is a moment to stop, contemplate the landscape and understand why this place was chosen as the setting for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, representing the famous moon of Yavin 4.

Lost World takes us to the origins of Tikal. This ancient complex was one of the city's first great ceremonial spaces and had a close relationship with sky observation and Mayan astronomical knowledge. From here, its constructions helped to mark celestial phenomena and important moments of the calendar. Among ancient pyramids and plazas, we will discover how the Mayas studied the movement of the Sun and organized their ceremonial life around time and the cycles of nature. Visiting Lost World is getting close to one of the oldest and most fascinating areas of Tikal, where science, architecture, and spirituality united under the Mayan sky.

After our visit to Tikal, we will enjoy a delicious local lunch at one of the best restaurants in the area. It will be the perfect time to relax and share the day's experiences before beginning our return to Flores, where we will arrive at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Upon arriving in Flores, we will drop off the travelers staying on Flores Island directly at their accommodation, so they can rest and continue enjoying this charming destination. Travelers who do not stay on Flores Island will have approximately an hour of free time to explore its colorful streets, enjoy the atmosphere by the lake, and get to know this charming destination on their own before continuing their transfer.

Travelers with a return flight to Guatemala City at 6:00 p.m. will be transferred to Mundo Maya Airport with enough time to continue their journey comfortably. The service will end there, ensuring they arrive in an organized and worry-free manner.
