Your experience begins with an introduction to the origins of incense making and its role in religious ceremonies, ancestor worship, and traditional customs. Watch a live demonstration by experienced craftsmen before trying the techniques yourself.
Start by dyeing bamboo incense sticks in bright traditional colors, creating beautiful photo opportunities along the way. Next, learn how natural incense powder is prepared and mixed before kneading the ingredients by hand. Then experience one of the workshop’s highlights: rolling incense using traditional methods, either by hand or with a unique foot-operated rolling machine that has been used by local artisans for generations.
