The only puzzle trail dedicated entirely to Bastide Saint-Louis — the neighbourhood where Carcassonne's residents actually live, a five-minute walk from the medieval Cité. An original story rooted in real Carcassonne history. Each stop reveals an authentic fact about the town: the cloth-making industry, the Canal du Midi, the eighteenth-century merchants' townhouses. Created and designed by a Bastide resident. Not a generic product copied across a hundred cities — an experience built street by street, with real local knowledge. No app to download, no group, no fixed times. Start when you want, go at your own pace, pause whenever you feel like it.

Most visitors never step outside the medieval walls — this treasure hunt takes you through the Bastide Saint-Louis, the real heart of Carcassonne, where locals live and shop every day. Step back to 1688 and help Lucas Maffre, a cloth merchant, solve a mystery. For generations, his family has used a warehouse that his neighbour Séraphin Bosc now claims as his own. Séraphin has a deed, but Lucas's wife Marguerite is convinced it's a forgery. The real deed is locked inside a chest, sealed with three combination padlocks.
