Join a local Gumbaynggirr guide for an immersive cultural experience exploring the rich natural landscape and traditional knowledge of the region.
Your one-hour guided walk takes you through coastal heath and paperbark wetlands, where you'll discover native bush foods, ancient healing plants, weaving fibres and seasonal calendar plants. Along the way, you'll learn about Gumbaynggirr culture, history and connection to Country, while also identifying plants that should be avoided.
The walk continues along the boardwalk to Pipeclay Lake and Corindi Beach before returning to the centre to enjoy a seasonal bush tucker tasting platter prepared by the Gallery Café using authentic native flavours.
After your experience, take some time to explore the gallery, museum and current exhibitions at your leisure.
