Your driver will pick you up at 5:45am from your hotel in Shanghai and transfer to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to catch your departure train around 7:00.a.m to Beijing. Upon arrival, driver will drop you off at the entrance, you just need to show your passport to enter.

When you arrive at Beijing South Railway Station, look for your name at the Exit. Your private guide and driver will hold a sign with your full name on it and meet you there. Then transfer to a nice local restaurant and enjoy a tasty lunch first.

After lunch, head to your first stop: Tiananmen Square, which is located in the centre of Beijing. After the Forbidden City visit, continue to the Hutongs at Back Lake Area.The Hutong, an old-style city alley, is one of must-see attractions in Beijing and Houhai Lake is a great place to enjoy nature, escape for all people from the hustle bustle of big city life. You can either visit this area by walking or take a rickshaw to taste the culture of Beijing and experience the life of the locals. After the tour, you will be transferred to your Beijing downtown hotel (at your own arrangement)
