On your drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park, you’ll enjoy views of the city and experience the scenic coastal landscapes along the way to Mikumi.

Mikumi National Park
Meet and greet your guide at your accommodation, then depart early from Dar es Salaam to avoid traffic as you begin your safari to Mikumi National Park (approximately 6–7 hours by road).
Alternatively, you can board the SGR train at 6:00 AM in Dar es Salaam and arrive in Morogoro at around 7:30 AM, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to Mikumi National Park.
As you approach the park, begin your guided game drive across the open plains and savannah. Enjoy searching for Africa’s large mammals and primates while creating unforgettable memories as you explore the diverse wildlife of Mikumi.
