Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia built by Shahjahan. the Mughal mosque, Jama Masjid (The Friday Mosque) is the congregational mosque of Old Delhi. India Gate (War Memorial Arch). Stop for photos at India Gate which is an Arc-de-Triomphe-like 140 feet high gateway that was constructed as a War Memorial in memory of the 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives during the First World War. Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, which is an elementary square platform of black marble on the banks of Yamuna River, symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated followed by his assassination in 1948.
