Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Ollantaytambo for a scenic train ride to KM 104. Start your hike with a visit to Chachabamba ruins, then follow the Inca Trail through lush cloud forest and stone stairways. Along the way, explore Wiñayhuayna, one of the most impressive Inca archaeological sites. Continue hiking to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) for your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. After taking photos, descend to the main checkpoint and take a short bus ride to Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a 3-star hotel.
