Taznakht, a picturesque Berber village in southern Morocco, is famous for its traditional carpets, which are handmade in the region. Known for their vibrant colours and intricate patterns, these ornate Berber carpets reflect the heritage and culture of the local Berber population. We arrived at sunset in Zagora, where the golden dunes were shrouded in the warm light. After a warm welcome, we enjoyed a traditional Moroccan dinner refined with local flavors and spices. Afterwards we spent the night in a Berber tent in the heart of a nomad camp, under the sparkling starry sky of the desert. This unforgettable experience allowed us to experience the tranquil beauty of the desert and the hospitality of the Berbers up close – a perfect conclusion to an exciting day.
